Meet MARs

We are a multicultural women-owned small business, composed of a dynamic team of education professionals and mindfulness practitioners. Our consulting team consists of an Intervention Counselor, Secondary Mathematics Teacher, Occupational Therapist (OT), and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). As holistic, trauma-informed practitioners, we are certified in yoga, sound bath meditation, and breathwork.

In education, with a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) lens, we specialize in a mindful approach to academics, behavior, social emotional learning, and mental wellness. Our diverse background allows us to use a unique blend of professional development for educators, in conjunction with modeling and teaching mindfulness exercises to promote self-regulation and emotional stability. We also offer direct services for students, from early childhood to higher education, using inclusive evidence-based practices. Lastly, we provide workshops for families, connect with community partners and organizations to better address the needs for the whole child.

Due to our personal challenges with mental health, we aim to give back to our surrounding communities. We partner with local small businesses for our monthly wellness offerings, providing sound baths and yoga. In the warmer seasons, catch us hosting free community hikes. Additionally, we participate in local vendor events to provide opportunities for complimentary one-on-one mindfulness sessions. This allows us to connect with everyone on a personal level and to fill their toolbox with strategies to reduce stress and anxiety. So, thank you for landing on MARs, we hope to connect with you soon!

Melissa Campos, M.A., PPS, RYT-200

Greetings MARtians!

I am a co-founder (& one of the "M's") at MARs, where I am an education consultant, sound bath practitioner, and a yoga teacher.

Growing up I endured many health problems that affected my mind, body, and spirit. There was a time with no diagnosis nor solutions for treatment from medical professionals. So, out of desperation, my mom took me to a holistic practitioner that would then begin to change my world. Since then, I began my whealthness journey through nutrition, movement, mindfulness, and other healing practices.

Professionally, I have worked in a diverse range of educational roles that expands from early childhood to higher education, supporting students, families, educators, and community partners. With experience as a program specialist and as an intervention counselor, my expertise is in SEL, PBIS, mindfulness and mental wellness.

At MARs, I hope to shine the light on as many MARtians as possible, just as others have done so for me. So, I am beyond grateful for taking this journey with three amazing partners and excited to continue raising the vibration with all of you! <3

Anikkah Walker, M.S., BCBA, RYT-200

My name is Anikkah and I represent the "A" in MARs. I am a yoga teacher, a behavioral therapist and a MARs Whealthness partner.

I began my exploration of mental, physical and spiritual growth when I stepped into my first yoga class at 19. I remember leaving class feeling light and calm, but yet strong and empowered. I wanted to share this incredible feeling, which is why I became a certified instructor. Over the past six years, I’ve taught yoga in many senior home facilities, organizations, and homes of individuals. I found my niche teaching to small groups and in a one-one setting. This style of teaching allowed me to build deep connections and close relationships with those that I worked with.

After graduating with my BA in business from CSUSB in 2019, I decided to deepen my studies and pursue my Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, with the intention of incorporating mindfulness or ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) into a therapeutic practice. This led me to working with the autism population (which now holds a very special place in my heart).

I find my work to be the most rewarding attribute to my life and enjoy being an endless student and teacher in this community.

Randi Kinkade, M.Ed (pending)

Hi MARtian Fam! I'm Randi Kinkade, a high school math teacher by day and a mindfulness enthusiast by night. As the "R" in MARs Whealthness LLC, I'm passionate about integrating well-being practices into education.

With a focus on trauma-informed practices, I help students not only excel academically but also develop their social-emotional learning (SEL) skills. My toolbox includes mindfulness, PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports), and classroom management strategies. Currently pursuing a Master's in Trauma-Informed Education, I'm constantly expanding my knowledge to support my students in the best way possible. Recently, I discovered the power of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) in my program, and I can't wait to share its benefits with you!

My passion extends beyond the classroom walls. Workshops and community events become a space for exploration, where I guide participants through breathwork, mindful art, meditation, and sound healing. I believe in the transformative power of mindfulness, having discovered it myself after graduating from UC Riverside. My journey to better health started with exercise and nutrition, and mindfulness became the missing piece. From yoga to sound baths, I've embraced various mindfulness practices to maintain my own mental well-being.

I'm a firm believer in the power of community. Whether it's workshops, professional development sessions, or student programs, I strive to share my knowledge and empower others to integrate mindfulness into their lives to promote their own mental well-being.

I'm incredibly grateful for this community and excited to learn and grow alongside you!

My Bui-Lewis, M.S.,OTR/L, RYT-200

My name is My, pronounced /mē/, but most of you know me as Bui. I’m the other M in MARs, hence the ‘s’.

I was born in Vietnam and immigrated to America at the age of 4. My first language is Vietnamese and I’m still learning English- why is this language so hard?!

I grew up in a household that values education so instinctually, I have become a lover of learning. I have a BS in Kinesiology, MS in Occupational Therapy, Assistive Technology Certification, and pending Registered Yoga Teacher.

I currently specialize in mindfulness and movement, incorporating these two components in my educational consulting and occupational therapy practice. I have a profound love and passion for mindfulness and movement as it has transformed my personal and professional practice, and that’s what led me to start my own OT/educational consulting company called mindfulness in mOTion, INC. I wanted to take this concept beyond the OT profession in hopes of making a bigger impact, so that’s why MARs Whealthness, LLC exists- with the goal of promoting holistic health to heal the whole self.

I am truly grateful to be on this enlightening journey of growth and healing with the best human beings and I’m excited for what the future holds. Thank you all for being a part of it!

Congrats! You’ve made it to the end!

We look forward to learning and growing with you all!

Love you all to MARs & back✨
